Sovereign®

The Sovereign® system with WhiteStar™ technology, transforms traditional ultrasound into digitally modulated phacoemulsification.

WhiteStar™ technology dramatically reduces the amount of phaco energy directed into the eye while still providing full ultrasound cutting efficiency. Surgeons have noted that nuclear fragments are drawn safely and efficiently to the phaco tip, in a phenomenon that has been termed “magnetic followability." The result is visibly clearer corneas one day post-surgery without changing technique.

The Sovereign® system is also known for advanced capsular protection. A patented system of microprocessor sensors digitally monitors anterior chamber conditions. The system detects pressure variations at the phaco tip and responds immediately, significantly reducing postocclusion surges.
